Why would California stop with children's toys?

Why shouldn't gender-neutral clothing stores, for children and adults alike, be the law?

And why doesn't California require manufacturers of toys and clothing to make gender-neutral toys and clothing?

Better yet, why doesn't California just take ownership of toy and clothing stores and manufacturers and run them... for the greater good?
