Been sittin on the sidelines till now. Got in early at $0.406 in 12/96. I ain't goin anywhere. Thanks to Lorrie Olivier for communicating these data. Regarding RESTECH, our large, international 'seven-sister' oil company uses them frequently for petrophysical analysis around the world, although we have 10 log analysts on staff (use RESTECH as independent QC). The discussion is pretty much right on, especially when talking about the quality of Russian E-logs (notoriously poor). Yep, mud filtrate sitting in the formation for a while before logging (especially in 15-30% porosity rocks, permeabilities of what.....50-500 md?) will do wonders for Sw (water saturation). Also, the type of rock holding the water and oil is important in log analysis: the presence of chlorite or other clays having microporosity (and non-producible, bound water) will overstate the amount of water. I'm buying more.
