Halting debenture conversions....

Thanks Zeev , this is the second such halt I've seen recently
the other being (ATEG). It appears companies can halt them
but then must negotiate some settlement to prevent them
from resuming , which cost the company some sorely needed
dollars. I'm aware of cases , where companies repurchase
the debs....at a premium...then still need the money that
that financing supplied to begin with (CARN).
The critical issues in these transactions are who the deb
holders are , intentions , etc.
Another consideration is how the proceeds are being spent.
To finance growth , acquisitions , etc.....ok. To pay
operating expenses , just to stay afloat....No thanks.
I'd be interested in hearing of any small cap companies who
used this type of financing and went on to bigger and better
things if anyone on the thread knows of some ?
