I've also seen cases where images appear broken in some browsers when using the WEBP format.

I'm a non techie, but I figured out a clumsy way to convert a WEBP to a JPEG image in order to post it on SI.

I first copy and paste the WEBP image into an email program and then send it to my other email program. I can then save the result as a desktop JPEG and insert the image into an SI post. Confusing?

BTW, the new button scheme above will be somewhat confusing to non techie members who won't understand the hieroglyphs.
