Jeff;

You and all of the others need to read the article you referenced more closely.

The interesting thing about BAAT's mileage figures is that they are from an "everyday" car. The engine is a diesel but the car is a regular production car from Ford. The majors certainly have proved high mileage in concept cars. Does anyone know what a concept car cost in engineering and tooling? Tens of millions I believe. Certainly I can not go to Ford or GM and write a check for one; perhaps Bill Gates or Warren Buffett could. I imagine though that once that patent is file dI could take a GEO Metro to BAAT and pay them a not-unreasonable sum to have my car modified, then I could get close to 100 mpg. That is what people find exciting about this care.

Please, use the correct basis for comparing BAAT to the major auto manufacturers. AN example: I know that the computer operating in the space shuttle cost around 12 million dollars. The new 166MMX I just bought cost me $499. Would I be logically correct in making any comparision at all between the two computers? Comparing scientific custom built technology with production technology is misleading and confuses the issue; it does not provide any insight or new knowledge.
