I’m really not an expert in this, just learned a few things here and there. AFAIK, the “Oreshnik” is an intermediate range rocket, with a range of 3000 - 5500 kilometers — while Pershing is a short range missile, with a range of about 300 km. Also, it has some 6 reentrance vehicles with warheads, which can be used separately or together, against a larger target. When used combined, they achieve temperatures of 4000 C - which is comparable to the temps on the surface of the Sun.

From what I read, at these temperatures - along with the kinetic impact from coming in at 10 times the speed of sound - it’s very destructive. Evaporates concrete. Acts as an effective bunker buster, among other things.

According to a no lesser authority than V. Putin, it may approach the destructive power of a nuclear weapon. I’m sure he has in mind smaller, tactical nukes, not the big ones.
