Nobody knows where these parties will be in 10 years or even sooner. I never liked the Republican Party under Bush, McCain or Romney. And at first, I did not like Trump either. But circumstances change and so do people. Trump changed. He had a close encounter with death and that humbled him. He stopped the insults and came up with common sense solutions. I like him very much now. He has had a huge impact on the Republican Party. As an independent, I like where the Trump Republican Party is at in regard to most issues. But that could all change after Trump leaves office. That's why I remain an independent. Sure, at the moment, the DNC is real crap, garbage. But maybe over time, the DNC changes. Life is change. Circumstances change. People change and so do parties. Look at the impact Trump has made on the Republican Party. Maybe someone on the Democratic side can do that to the putrid DNC. Stranger things have happened. We'll see. Life is strange. I adjust based on changing circumstances and conditions. No one knows for sure what tomorrow will bring.

As Emerson would say, " consistency is the hobgloben of small minds."
