We've always known that Trump knew Epstein. Anyone with money did. But their relationship was severed around 2002-2003 when Trump became aware that Epstein had "made a pass" at a young girl, the daughter of a member of Mar-a-Lago. So, it is clear that Trump responded appropriately when this event occurred by kicking Epstein out. This, of course, suggests than Trump did not approve of it when it happened, hence, it is pretty clear he wouldn't have been involved.

What doesn't matter is the relationship Trump had with Epstein. You can be friends with an unsavory person if you're aware the person is unsavory.
