JDuffy captures my sentiments exactly. I take a lot of solace in knowing that Peter and Steven Sprague are in charge. They have a steady strategy, and I think it has begun to succeed.

I also take comfort in the facts that: (1) the chip-based solution is patented; (2) the encryption feature is approved for export; and (3) as a new distribution channel achieving new efficiencies, the Wave system poses incentives for all sides of a digital e.commerce transaction to share the resulting savings. Once OEM's settle on the lowest-cost way to proliferate WaveMeters in the marketplace, the only losers will be pirates.
