In New Zealand, each ballot paper has a number. The number ties the ballot to the voter. We don't have to show identification. Ooops, I'm out of date. Here's how it's done now In New Zealand vote.nz It's single day, in person, say your name, they cross your name out and you get a ballot paper. If you vote at a few different polling booths, your votes could be found. If pretending to be somebody else, that vote could be found. I believe fraud is very low in NZ. It's also criminal, so risky.
