Dr.Cohen, I believe LD was deliberately conservative during the Conf. call to avoid adding fuel to the rapid run-up in share price. Large institutions do not like the volatility.

The internet has connected more individual investors to conference calls and other forms of information that previously would have been filtered through investment professionals less hasty to press the buy or sell buttons.

I believe comments about running at or near full speed have been posted as early as 2 months ago on this thread. Their source was from conversations with company officials who, when asked direct questions, explained what progress had been made with a particular machine etc.

I could imagine that if they publicly stated that a machine was capable of making good product at 100% speed, the company would have to explain why they are not doing it at the moment. As more details are stated, more questions are generated and important personnel can no longer concentrate on getting the product to market.

A portion of the audience may have forgotten that it was accomplished with the limited supply of laminate from the small machine at Henderson or that the machine will be modified for a different size battery, a contract has not been signed yet, or the production staff is not all hired and trained etc.

There has been a lot said about the lack of official information.
At least the company has stated their production plans publicly during the conf call and on the newswires, which should be considered a milestone.
