Update on Forvia/HELLA Digital FlatLight, now Digital FlatLight 3. Bolded text mine.:

Autoline YouTube video interview with Antonio Pantoja, VP of the Forvia/HELLA North American Technological Center, starting at 8:20. It's the same technology as the FlatLight µMX also shown in the video, but enhanced with SmartGlass.

Pantoja says, "...in this case is the same technology but on top of it it has the LCD. In this case the LCD is segmented into 44 spaces and each of those 44 youcan turn on or off. "

So do we scratch Digital Flatlight 3 off the SPD candidate list? What makes doing so problematical is this 12/21 legacy board post re Gauzy's partner DK the Netherlands. They fabricated the prototype headlight glass for BMW's Vision Circular using liquid crystals, but the original post is no longer available on their website:

Could an interactive SPD layer bonded to PET with liquid crystals be what Pantoya refers to in the video as "LCD? "

Talk about a million dollar question!
