I hope the Mets pass on Alonso unless he receives lttle interest in terms of $$$. Clearly, Cohen told Soto he will go 50M above the highest offer and his hedge fund will manage Soto's money for free. Plus, there were incentives. Met pitching is a bit iffy. That needs to be shored up. The Stearns way is to acquire lots of reclamation projects on the cheap and make them better.
