Um, you do know the planet is more than a small part of the Northern Hemisphere? And that is what The Little Ice Age affected? Not to mention, reglaciation is not in the cards for a really long time? So why the babble about Ottawa under a klick of ice, I have no idea.

And yeah, a warming globe means the water cycles faster. Your point? It also means when it does rain, it rains a lot more. Which is kinda what causes floods. And that means relying on historical flood data is really, really dumb. Not to mention, the idea that the rainfall patterns would be the same is also really, really dumb. Plus, when you factor in that when all of the ice melts and is available for evaporation, that also changes things quite a bit.

You have a bad case of GIGO and a lack of understanding of the mechanism makes it even worse. I am sure you are knowledgeable in some areas.

This isn't one of them.
