Now he is worrying about losing his bases in Syria.
He lost them. None of the rebel groups will forgive RuZZia for supporting Assad.

Plus PooTin can't afford to maintain them anymore, much less promise any support for whatever regime replaces Assad.

That's why PooTin has to turn up the Bullshishka and rely on his massive disinformation network. He has to convey the impression that RuZZia is still a formidable, unstoppable empire.

And his disinformation strategy is comically effective and doesn't cost him much. Look at the MAGA folks on this thread. They still fear that PooTin will start WWIII.
