The shooter was definitely not insane. I think he elaborated quite clearly why he did it. He thought the CEO deserved it and it should have been done a long time ago. However true that is, it is still vigilante justice. But when you prioritize second amendment rights, you are going to get vigilante type justice. It may end up being a hung jury. There are a lot of people who like what he did, who would have liked to do the same thing if they could get away with it. There is no getting around that. Eventually, if they interview enough people, they will get a jury composed of hardcore conservatives who will follow the letter of the law.
