I won't defend James grasp of the current market, he being a historian foremost will tend to be wrong short term. I believe him long term and the dissatisfaction that most investors have with him lies in our general short term focus.

He has admitted his failures but not to the satisfaction of many. One thing he has admitted within the pages of SI is that his involvement with the NTU was
although educational, a tremendous waste of effort. Our government is never going to listen to reason.

Regarding the junk mail, some of it is from organizations he is involved with, but the bulk is from the publisher of his newsletter. They publish tons of stuff and use the mailing list for any thing they wish. Most of what you get has little to do with James, its simply the market forces that buy your name that are to blame.

That said, do what you want, just thought your perspective was a little more bitter than reality calls for.
