I believe that the majority of us on Silicon Investor are over 60 yo, according to some poll that I read on one of these threads.

At age 82, a hip fracture is essentially a death sentence. The healing time takes months, and in that time the muscle loss makes the likelihood of ever walking again really unlikely, at least without some sort of aid.
