Shorting ASND now long term is not smart as ASND clearly has several quarters of consecutive growth ahead of it and accellerating beginning with 2H 1998 and into 1999 (not to mention buyout prospects and the start of a new product cycle). These people don't sound smart to me at all. Sector, You really said it well, and in a nutshell. They cannot have done their research. Yes, there will be down days (and maybe ASND will see 32 again), but Ashby has flat out guided to double-digit revenue growth in 2H98. What were these guys (at the hedge fund) smoking? The sad thing is that some retail investors, people like you and me (before we got on SI) are going to read that article and are going to short ASND. Maybe they will have some winning days.
