"This week's reminders,

- The FOMC will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 17 & 18.
- Fourth quarter Triple-Witching is this Friday, Dec. 20.

- The "Santa Claus Rally" historically takes place during the last five trading days of December and continues into the first two trading days of January. This year the SCR would begin on Monday, Dec. 23 if it follows the historical pattern. I am wondering if it might start early this year because of the week's market activities listed above.

- In other news, Mercury turned direct yesterday. The market should begin to clarify some of its intentions. NTA"
