Praxis, I haven't seen PowerPlay for about 2 years, but at that time there was very little to distinguish Cognos from Business Objects. I suspect the only niche Cognos has at this time is the fact that they and BO were the first to market with a sophisticated database querying tool. This software will soon become commoditized, with very little difference between Cognos, BO, Andyne and probably a few others. The product will have to be differentiated in other ways. Hum will no doubt try to differentiate Andyne as part of their overall integration strategy. I don't expect Andyne to take over the market, but it should be a contributor to Hum's bottom line as an add on to customers who already have had a good experience with Exceed. Bill.
