Just one word...Storage
Nice try, but storage isn't where it should be right now:

Data reveals big milestones for California's wind, water and solar power production (KCRA 3)

Solar and wind is already hitting 100% demand during peak generation hours, but only like 40-50% of overall 24-hour demand.

That points to storage not being where it should be.

Maybe Amazon should just run their operations whenever its bright and windy outside ...
