Actually it is is not centralized.. that is erroneous.

The health care system is maintained and administered by each province and territory and quality is not uniform.. The feds kick in about 20% of funding to the system.. a carrot and stick approach to try to maintain minimum standards nationwide..

I suspect big pharma's role is little different in Canada than in the US. We seem to get better drug prices. I don't typically here of medical bankruptcy in my country.
