Garlic is one thing you can't mass produce in China, when it is -30 good garlic will keep your blood circulating and keep you warm. I used to grow my own but there is always someone at the farmer's market that does a better and cheaper job than me. Same with tomatoes, when I figured out each viable tomato I was growing cost over $10 and I could buy 6 perfect organic tomatoes for the same price with no frustration I realized gardening was not for me.

"Garlic is a natural thermogenic food, which means that it causes your body to produce heat, and producing heat takes energy, so the body burns off calories."
