Interesting…. At 1 month after such a jump in VIX, the market didn’t show a positive return even once. Not once. And overall, not great results over the next 12 months.

7 such events in 32 years… not enough to make statistically significant conclusions… But, markets have a huge irrational side to them. The fact is - every time VIX jumped 50% in one day, the following period was not great.
