Several times each week for the last year (and
especially over the last two months) I receive
home equity/credit card consolidation offers
in the mail. I wish I had been saving them
and stacking them up just to see how high a
pile I'd get.

One has to wonder what the percentage of lower-
to-middle income Americans have leveraged
their mortgage loans to the hilt in order to bail
themselves out their plastic. (I am discounting
the risk that the upper-middle class have gone
into debt--clearly they have enough money
not to go into debt because I see them towing new
boats behind their new Ford Explorers in my city.

I happen to drive a '72 Nova (although I would
be willing to upgrade to an Explorer cheap after
a crash.) --Oh, that's Thailand, never will
happen here.
