You cannot really understand the mentality of the USA until you have lived here a long term. First and foremost, Americans don't really give a shit about anyone outside of their fellow Americans. Secondly, most Americans are wrapped up in the affairs of their particular State. That is to say, a person living in St. George, Utah hardly cares what is going on in New York. As long as it is not affecting them directly, they are fine. Americans are not by nature globalists. Oh sure, they will travel to other countries and take sight seeing tours. But they couldn't care less about the country they are visiting.

Most Americans are all for Israel destroying radical Muslims as long as Americans don't get hurt.
