I specifically said NATO!

There are 32 countries in NATO that are NOT fighting each other for the first time in 12,000 years!

My point was that NATO enabled peace in Europe for the FIRST time in 12,000 years.

And it did in in the last 100 years.

That is over night in historical terms, so how did that happen for the first time in 12,000 years?

Why do you think it happened? There was a reason, it was not spontaneous.

Russia and Ukraine are NOT part of NATO, if they were there would have been no war.

That is why Ukraine wants to join NATO so badly.

Russia has only been invading none NATO countries. They dare not invade NATO countries.

And the 53% of white women who voted for Trump include Republican women and racists.

PS Iraq is also not in NATO, and in fact the middle east is a mess because they are still ruled by a 13th century theocracy!

First of all, "all is not quiet". Some of the intellectual giants of yesterday are wracked by war. Russia and Ukraine to state the obvious but also Iraq was a bastion of intellect. While in the past great civilizations existed; think Egyptian pyramids or Roman Olympics - you know back when people were stupid.

But secondly you're taking a camera shot of the last few decades as if we have entered a brand new ideological world because we somehow got smart. That last few decades are a blink of the eye when viewing history. 53% of the most highly educated white women in the world voted for trump!! Your theory Koan has been blown to dust.
