Has anyone looked at SI's Active Threads stats in a while? They have 9 stock talk threads with 3 or more posts per day, 16 political threads, and 8 miscellaneous with that many.

So the active core of the site is the equivalent of a tiny subsection of any decently busy chat site.

I've wondered since the last takeover what possible financial model could be at play here. Doesn't add up.
