X jacks up Premium+ prices by 37.5%, hits some markets harder (TechCrunch)

I believe those prices increases apply only to people who may be content creators earning a return based on the distribution of their content, elimination of incoming advertising to them, and full access to Grok, which like it or not, people will have to pay to use before it is over.

I find Grok to be superior the other general purpose AIs I've tried, so at some point I expect to have to pay for it.

Musk has split the cost of his investment, not just in twitter but in the redevelopment of the Twitter software and Grok, including the data center.

You do not know of a person who understands these issues to Musk's level. Sorry. He fully comprehends how to price these services. How is he to gauge what people will pay for a service without setting higher prices as they become available?

I know you're a great engineer but you may not have a handle on the microeconomics of these services. ChatGPT, iirc, prices between $20/mo (lowest) and $200/month (highest, afaik).

It is clear that Grok is in the process of adding substantial models in multiple areas of the medical professional's field. It is also clear they're in the process of beefing up the image generation capability and other areas. They clearly are at work doing a lot with coding today, and will quickly roll out those models for major languages and applications.

And then there is twitter on top of all that.

So, it isn't like "Oh, they're charging more for twitter, they must be in a bind."

I promise, the money is there.
