I didn’t realize I complained about simplicity. If I did that it was a bad choice on my part. I’m not ruling out simple solutions. But the simple solution may not be the right one where interests are complex and religiously entangled.

I will say that for me it isn’t as important as it was was a while back, since women seem to be discovering that surgical abortion isn’t as essential as they thought, AND the opposition to abortion seem more tolerant of nonsurgical alternatives. That may be a decent outcome for most.
