My nephew (9) has never learned the Pledge of Allegiance, nor the National Anthem. He had not learned that America was founded in 1776.

He goes to public school in a state lauded for its public education.

Are our schools run by anti-Americans? How is this possible?

He also does not know about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Founding Fathers… it's insane.

When I asked what American history he's learned, he says he's learned a lot about the native people. Basically nothing else.
