But you are still deprived of the lack of sentience during some period of existence, hence, I have experienced a loss.

I get it, there are different views of this.

The ultimate question is whether, do you prefer to have had the life you've had since age 40, or would you just as soon have had it all end at 40? Even with its ups and downs, for me, I would not want to have not experienced life after 40.

I don't believe there is a one-size fits all approach, but I feel like most people would agree they would have been deprived by an earlier death.
