Hello Claude,

Your point is well taken. I suppose ideally, the competition should be a pure geological play. Outside factors like currency changes, overthrow of governments, mines flooding, issuance of new shares and so on, would somehow be factored out.

But I think the way I have been doing it is what the rules say. I don't mean to continue managing the competition after this year mainly as I am distracted by events at home. This is a tough decision for me to make as over the years I have had a lot of fun with the contest. If someone else wants to continue with it, there could be a change in the rules.
