Would you agree that a standard testbench diagram of Torque versus RPM for a nonmodified and a modified engine, complete with emission data and fuel consumption, tells it all?
The test cars, modified or not, are of little importance. If a company can reduce the fuel consumption 20%, maintaining the other data, it's enormous, worth billions.
It's very hard to evaluate what has been posted here and on websites,
as most comparisons are of the garden variety (apples and pears).
