Looking at this background, including stated interest of animal welfare, this guy was setup, IMO, and probably already dead or unaware of what was in the car - maybe doing a test with someone remotely operating to prepare to show off their skills. So the op was two-fold: a warning and a coverup - getting rid of the evidence - in this guy's brain.
Elon's been touting the car and rightly criticizing the saboteur(s?). Hard to believe this guy is a saboteur against Trump and Elon.
