Dear TJ, that takes me back. To last century. There was a company AirFiber that used lasers for point to point data transmission at supersonic speed. That seemed a great idea as sending wave functions in all directions seemed wasteful compared with directed beams via lasers.

Starlink is stupid. They are charging a fixed price per month for eat all you like whether you use it or not. Retarded.

If somebody wants just a few kilobits now and then, too bad. They have to pay a huge monthly fee whether they use it or not.

Starlink should charge per byte transmitted.

A monthly plan to buy all you can eat ice cream, gasoline, tomatoes or megabytes is ridiculous. Gluttons will make out like bandits while those needing little will pay an arm and a leg.
