Brad also loved to ride his bike. When he came through my area for an equestrian show we went out for a really long bike ride. He was in amazing physical shape... which is even more amazing because he was a programmer (i.e. spending lots of time in front of a computer). He was quite a complex individual in many other respects.

And to be quite honest, Brad never really relinquished the reigns of SI. SI Bob was really more of a caretaker in that sense. Before SI transitioned to current management, Brad made sure he had the perfect advocate for the users... in SI Ron... so that whoever took over didn't run astray of why people have stayed loyal to the site for so many years. While of course modernization is inevitable given the rise of mobile and other platforms and operating systems, to use a sports analogy, if you don't notice the officials, that means they are doing a great job. :)
