Hi Bearcatbob I have been out of circulation for a while so sorry for the delay in my field reports, however, I just got back from a drive by the two well sites.

There is no activity at the Berkley site and it is difficult to get a good view of the site mainly due to the earthen berms that surround it. This is normal practice when well sites are prepared for drilling but it does make observation difficult. From the right angle and elevation one can see, with binoculars of course, a set of green wellhead valves (christmas tree).

The rig is off the Imperial site and in its place is a flare stack, approximately 120 feet tall. The well head can be observed from a distance with binoculars. I was able to see lines coming off the well head but not exactly where they were going. Just to the south of the well head were what looked like some pressure vessels and associated piping, I also saw what looked to be several large propane tanks. I am making an assumption that the pressure vessels I saw may have something to do with fluid separation. I did not notice any flaring taking place while I was there. When I first arrived on this site I did not see any portable fluid storage tanks, however, while I was watching a flat bed semi arrived with what looked like the standard 400 bbl oil field storage tank.

While driving around the area of the Berkley well I noticed rig signs that I had not previously seen before. When I followed the direction in which they pointed I came upon a Nabours Rig drilling a well for Shell Canada. This well location is about 2.5 miles south west of the Berkley well and about 5 miles south of the Imperial well. I have no idea how long drilling operations have been going on at this well.

Perviously there have been some questions asked about oil field infastructure in this area. There are lots of existing facilities in this area including oil and gas pipelines and gas processing plants. The big question is whether these facilities have the capability and capacity to handle what may be discovered.

Well things seem to look promising.

Regards from Alberta
Dave
