You have a strange way of looking at things.

When people talk about the great Greek culture they are talking about the great thinkers and scientists, that shaped civilization e.g. democracy and ethics and science.

We talk about how smart hundreds of ancients Greeks were like Plato, Aristotle, and so many more!

But we never talk about the great Roman intellectuals because there were NONE compared to the Greeks.

<< Rome was fucking barbaric, by modern standards e.g. Caligula.

The Greeks WERE light years ahead of the Romans intellectually, and ethically.>>

The Greeks sided up with the Gauls. The epitome of the word "Barbaric", In fact that is where the word "Barbaric" comes from. The fricken Barbarians.

So where was the Greek ethics, deductive reasoning and science when they chose that course of action?

No wonder they got whacked ... and deservedly so. They could not deductively think their way out of a wet carboard box with that approach.
