Plato, Aristotle and the rest of them were AWOL when it came to the battle of Agigentum. The Greeks were using Gaul mercenaries to further their aims. The mercenaries used all their deductive reasoning the Greeks taught them and defected to the Romans. Who could fault them for that? The Greeks should have kept their noses out of Sicily and focused in keeping Greece in shape. The lessons of history to be learned here are just too numerous to mention.
