Thanks for that info, I'd have been very surprised if they hadn't added that feature by now.

Does it work for all songs in all playlists you can stream, or a subset of them based on content rights?

Another factor in that equation: Are most of Spotify's youthful customers aware enough about the lack of cellular coverage in sparsely populated areas to take the extra step of downloading beforehand if they don't have satellite internet access? Unless someone in their group of friends knows about the issue and tells them, the inexperienced wouldn't think to download their playlists before heading out.

I'm stating that based on my personal experience with those under 40 years of age. They tend to be as unaware about computers and tech issues as most elderly people are. Unless they were nerds in school growing up and into computers or hacking, kids know very little about the advanced technology they're using or its inherent flaws and limitations.

I've seen this multiple times with late Millennials and all GenZ (Zoomers) kids, they can't troubleshoot their way out of a wet paper bag and fall for tricks that defy basic logic. A common one is using gift cards to pay the IRS for back taxes or for someone claiming to help them fix their computer. They don't know how to protect themselves against any of them unless they watch YouTube channels like Scammer Payback or Kitboga.

Even if they are aware of scammers and thieves, the young still ask me, "Why do they do that?" :-(
