Robert, the message there is clear: they are basing a decision on anecdotal information, ergo, they are entirely in the wrong line of work. Aside from deliberately embarrassing themselves, it's not clear what they hope to achieve with their little biologist-turned-computer-electronics-design-engineer stunt. The reports from the field are unambiguous and crystal clear: there are fundamental reliability problems with this product. Iomega is bent on turning this fundamental flaw into a serious of personal experiences. I'm not buying it; PC WEEK isn't buying it; and neither should any self-respecting and/or so-called scientist.
