So, what you're saying is that gaps always fill except when they don't. So, if the price of the stock drops, it is obviously gap-filling, but if it rises it's just one of those exceptions. Now, I sure as shooting wouldn't want to risk money on that equivocal prediction!

Every study of the market (at least those that I'm aware of) with a statistical approach (that is using the mathematics of probability theory) has concluded that there is no memory in a stock time series!

TA is like religion -- if you insist on objective proof you'll be disappointed. And you can probably point to a suitable passage (like scripture) that explains why something doesn't work. Like the fact that a double bottom isn't a true double bottom if the price keeps dropping!

So, if you're a true believer, there is nothing I could possibly say to dissuade you.
