They don't open and close that Arctic sea lane any more than they can control the seasons. The Arctic sea lanes are frozen over for months out of each year.
Do you trust Denmark to police the Arctic sea lanes?
That's a st00pid question. No one needs Denmark to police them, and no one needs Greenland to police them, either.

Either that, or we should take over all the nations that border the Persian Gulf, given that we're policing those sea lanes. Heck, we're firing $2M cruise missiles into the tents of the Houthi camel-fukkers.

No matter how you slice it, Trump's imperialism makes absolutely no sense in the modern era. The age of colonialism has long passed. We don't need Greenland to secure the emerging Arctic sea lanes.
