Fish can be an excellent food source. I like Haddock for example, and it is not cheap. Herring are plentyful again and kippers should be cheap. I used to buy them by the stone for not much money. These days, they are only seen on fancy websites and specialist shops and cost a fortune.

Discount Grocers like Aldi and Lidl offer fish at good prices, and often from the sea areas I am interested in. Checking the label... "Produce of China". Not sure if that would be Chinese Trawlers, or more likely, British or European Trawlers catching fish and sending them to China for processing.

A lot of food comes by air cargo from everywhere on the planet. Amazing really.

So, Asian Carp are a good food source, big fish, and I would have thought the eradication program would pay for itself. It is just the logistics, product development, and marketing that needs work. Natures fish farm... the Mississippi River.

The worlds oceans should be viewed the same way imho. With proper management, loads for everybody.
