I don’t think this is any of my stronger points, John. I listen to an occasional lecture on economics, or read a book - but in my knowledge there are many serious gaps. I guess this is one of them.

My interest is - higher rates tend to move money out of stocks and into fixed income. On Jay's chart, you can see yields make a top in Oct 2022 and in Oct 2023 - right when the markets made lows.

Haven’t made the connection until now - but, maybe this current double top in yields may turn out to be a minor low in the markets? I guess we’ll see.
