No......way!!
I can't believe you've warmed so much to them, I'm very happy and excited for you.
You will like all 4 cds. I'm sure there will be an order for 4 more in the near future. Beware, a journey awaits you, you'll have to get a part time job now ;) There's no other band you can go on a 55 year trek with, and the band is still chugging along!! I must have 50 cds, just a guess.
What probably made it special for me back in the day, was it was so hard to find their albums here in Canada, they were all British imports. I felt like I won the lottery when I was able to get my hands on an vinyl, helped to make me a rabid fan :) Not like today, listen to any song, fast forward through the slow parts, while scrolling through your phone, it's not the same experience at all for todays young people.
Founder Dave Brock says his favourite album is the first one in 1969, he says it's the most creative, and a recent cd The Future Never Waits is hailed as one of their best records yet.
I might reco the 1970-74 compilation Roadhawks if it's not too expensive. That was actually my first experience with them and has the original version of Silver Machine, their only hit single, sung by Lemmy their bass player.
Anyways, Onward. |
