While we spin through the galactic plane, at an incredible velocity, indeed as our galaxy (the Milky Way) in our many and several motions, encountering what wisps of matter and energy on the way, the only known variable that effects the Climate is a gas that is one very small fraction of the Earths Atmosphere?

I wonder if the sinusoidal motion, (in and out of the Galactic Plane), is a whole number of complete cycles on the 230 million year orbit? .... as the Galaxy travels through the Universe??

Do you think anyone actually believes that Premise who has considered it? If anyone is employed as an Academic, it's maybe best to keep their mouths firmly shut on the matter. They otherwise they might be out of a job in no time at all. Their career will certainly get adversely effected if they started rocking the boat, and indeed this happens all the time.

Just imagine, the Catholic Church used to censor people for not saying the right things. Do you think we are in any better position today? The only Faith being a Communism of Science, and what they say is Absolute???

What a suckers for unchecked & unbridled Pirate Capitalism such people who see things that way are.

Speaking of a religious view, here is how NASA sees the milky way. Looks a bit centralist to me.
That might change at anytime of course, as we learn more.

And don't look at the Dark Matter, that might just be a figment of someone's imagination anyway -g-
