CO2 emissions in the U.S. have reduced by more than 17 percent when compared to 2005 levels to less than five GtCO2 per year.
Think about that, Wharfie. It took us 20 years just to lower our "carbon shoesize" by 17%, but even that doesn't matter as long as we continue to spew tons of this stuff into the air.

The only thing that will actually "stop the climate from changing" is for us to get to near-zero CO2, but that's impossible.

Hence the reason why I keep saying it's easier for humanity to adapt to a changing climate than to try and stop said climate from changing in the first place.
